plastic-bottles

We offer our customers a large selection of different plastic bottles.
Cosmetic bottles, oval bottles, soap dispenser bottles, foam bottles, bottles for the pharmaceutical sector, round bottles and also chemical bottles with and without UN approval for liquids or solids. Various materials are used: HD-PE, LD-PE and PET.
However, we also have various of our own tools for many bottle series and production here also runs in the standard colors: white, natural color (transparent) and, if required, in black based on individual Pantone specifications. Many of the plastic bottles can be produced from virgin material as listed above, alternatively we are happy to offer sustainable materials such as R-PET or Braskem(r), completely project-specific, as the end customer wishes.
Of course, we have the appropriate accessories for all bottles such as closures, atomizers, dispensers and dosing caps in many colors and shapes.

Plastic bottles have become indispensable in most industries. Their greatest advantages are their light weight, durability, and flexibility in use. PET bottles and plastic bottles are particularly popular due to their practical properties – whether in the cosmetics industry, the pharmaceutical sector, or chemicals.

At POHLI, you’ll find a wide range of fillable bottles – suitable for different applications and contents.

Advantages of plastic bottles for filling

Plastic bottles are convincing thanks to their low weight, making them significantly easier to transport than glass bottles. In addition, they are shatterproof and do not break as easily as glass, making them especially safe to handle. Another advantage is their cost efficiency.

Depending on the material, plastic bottles offer high resistance to acids, alkalis, and other chemicals. Moreover, they can be customized – in various colors, shapes, and with special closures that are optimally matched to your product and corporate design.

Different types of plastic bottles at POHLI

Plastic bottles are ideal for storing and transporting liquids and viscous products. In our assortment, you will find small plastic bottles that are perfect for samples or travel sizes, but also larger models suitable for larger fill volumes. As a packaging solution, the plastic bottle is the first choice for many companies due to its flexibility and resilience.

The volumes of the plastic bottles in POHLI’s assortment range from 10 ml to 4000 ml. The standard colors are white, natural (transparent), and black. Additionally, we offer a variety of finishing options to individually enhance your product packaging.

These include:

  • Printing via pad or screen printing with up to four colors, matched to the shape and type of packaging

  • Hot foil stamping in gold or silver, glossy or matte – for an elegant look on glass and plastic packaging, including closures

  • Metallization, for example for pump heads or closure elements in gold or silver

These services are also available for small batch sizes, with one-time, proportionally calculated tooling costs.

At POHLI, you’ll find a wide selection of fillable plastic bottles, which can be perfectly tailored to your requirements. Whether round bottles for a classic look, canister-style models for larger volumes, or oval variants for a compact, modern shape – the variety of designs offers a solution for every application.

There are also various mouth types available, such as:

  • Narrow necks for precise dosing

  • Wide necks for easy filling

  • Spray bottles, ideal for liquid applications

Application areas of plastic bottles

For the food industry

Plastic bottles are indispensable in the food sector. Whether for beverages, oils, sauces, or preserves – PET bottles provide excellent conditions for long shelf life and safe transport thanks to their durability and flexibility.

PET bottles reliably protect contents from external influences, thereby extending product shelf life. At POHLI, all plastic bottles meet the highest standards of food safety.

For cosmetics and personal care

Plastic bottles are also widely used in the cosmetics industry. They are practical and handy, ideal for shampoos, creams, or perfumes – including those intended for travel or on-the-go use. Small bottles in travel sizes are particularly popular due to their light weight and space-saving properties.

Various closure types – such as pump dispensers, screw caps, or spray heads – make these bottles especially functional depending on the product.

In the pharmaceutical industry

Hygiene plays a central role in the pharmaceutical sector. Plastic bottles provide a safe solution for packaging medical liquids, vitamins, or supplements. They are food-safe, robust, and easy to label or mark.

In the chemical sector

POHLI’s chemical bottles are specifically designed for the chemical industry and serve as safe, reliable packaging solutions for sensitive and hazardous substances. They are made from high-quality HDPE, which offers excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, and other chemicals.

Thanks to UN approval, they are suitable for transporting dangerous goods, ensuring maximum safety.

The DIN 45 special thread allows for secure sealing, while optional tamper-evident closures prevent manipulation and increase content protection. Additionally, the Safe Grip version of the 2,500 ml bottle improves handling, which is particularly useful for larger volumes. These features make the series ideal for professional use in the chemical industry.

Sustainability and recycling

Sustainability is an increasingly important factor when choosing packaging materials. In the past, plastic bottles had a poor environmental reputation. But thanks to innovative technologies and improved recycling systems, this is changing.

Many fillable plastic bottles are now easily recyclable. The recovered PCR plastic can be used to make new bottles. PCR-PET can even be used with food contact approval.

At POHLI, we ensure that our products meet environmental standards.

As an addition to recycled plastics, POHLI also offers bottles made from bio-based plastic. We use polyethylene from Braskem, a leading manufacturer of bio-based plastics – especially Green PE, derived from renewable raw materials like sugarcane.

Compared to conventional HDPE from fossil resources, Braskem’s bio-based HDPE offers several advantages:

1. Sustainability & CO₂ reduction

  • CO₂ absorption: Sugarcane captures CO₂ during growth. Studies show that 1 ton of bio-based PE binds up to 3.09 tons of CO₂, while fossil-based PE emits CO₂.

  • No reliance on fossil resources: Bio-HDPE doesn’t require oil or gas, reducing environmental impact and geopolitical dependency.

2. Identical properties & compatibility

  • Same physical, mechanical, and chemical properties as fossil HDPE

  • Can be processed on existing production lines

  • Fully recyclable in standard PE recycling streams

3. Renewable raw materials

  • Sugarcane grows quickly and is harvested annually

  • Cultivation usually takes place on marginal land, not used for food production

4. Certifications & environmental performance

  • Certified according to ISCC Plus, ensuring traceability and sustainability

  • Helps companies reduce CO₂ footprints and strengthen sustainability strategies

5. Market acceptance & consumer perception

  • Products with bio-based plastics can be marketed with eco-labels such as “I’m green™” by Braskem
