About
us.
The company was founded in 1876 by its namesake August Pohli as a bottle trade in Wuppertal. After various inner-city expansion steps, the administration and warehouse were merged in the Nächstebreck industrial area in 1991.
The company premises now cover approximately 42,000 m². Around 40,000 pallets can be stored in a storage area of approx. 19,000 m².
In 1999, sales activities in southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland were strengthened by establishing a sales office in Bad Urach, near Stuttgart. Over time, this area was expanded to include Eastern European countries

Sustainability is close to our hearts – that’s why we continuously expand our
extensive product range to include eco-friendly packaging made from sustainable materials.
For many years, we have offered glass packaging with a high proportion of recycled material.
In addition, we offer glass bottles made entirely from recycled glass, helping to conserve natural resources.
But we don’t stop there:
We also offer bottles and closures made from alternative, resource-saving materials.
These include PCR-PET (recycled PET), recycled aluminum, and bioplastics such as Braskem.
With these innovative solutions, we contribute to reducing the ecological
footprint while ensuring the quality and functionality of
our packaging. Our sustainable options also include special closures equipped with cardboard inserts,providing an
eco- friendly alternative to conventional solutions and further reducing material usage.
